NF tumours should never be a child's normal-they should never be anyone's normal. I am joining the fight against neurofibromatosis (NF) by registering for CONQUER NF IN COLOUR in Melbourne on Sunday 17 November. I will be running for the 1 in 5 children with NF who will develop a brain tumour; for the kids or adults who will lose their hearing or sight this year; for the kids who can’t run, walk or play like other children and for those who have lost loved ones to this condition. EVERY 3 DAYS A CHILD IS BORN WITH NF IN AUSTRALIA, AND THEY WILL NEED A LIFETIME OF SUPPORT. NF is a lifelong genetic condition that causes tumours to form around nerves, under the skin and deep in the body. Progressive and unpredictable, these tumours can lead to physical differences, vision and hearing impairments, learning difficulties, chronic pain, and scoliosis and even cancer. There is no cure and treatment options are limited. I have a goal to raise $1000 to support the Children's Tumour Foundation and their vision of a life without limitations for everyone living with NF. As the only NF patient advocacy and support service in Australia for kids, adults and their families, the CTF work to ensure anyone, regardless of location or financial position can access balanced information and personalised support free of charge, while also enabling important connections with community and healthcare professionals. Please help me reach my goal by making a tax-deductible donation. Together we can #CONQUERNF
